The biggest night in the UK music calendar took place at the 02 Arena last night, the Brit Awards 2014!
The Brits is often a bit lame in terms of content, performances and shock factor, this year however we were NOT let down. Performances came from Katy Perry, Arctic Monkeys, Bastille and Rudimental, Disclosure and Lorde, Pharrell and Nile Rodgers, Bruno Mars and BLOODY BEYONCE!
It was a big night.
Winners included Ellie Goulding, Bastille, Rudimental, One Direction, Daft Punk amongst more.
There were really only two winners though…
1) Rita Ora in this dress. Wow.
2) Ella Eyre in this catsuit. Wow.
My fave performances were those two:
1) Bastille teaming up with Rudimental
2) Pharrell and Nile Rodgers
The line up for Wireless Festival 2014 was announced on KISS this morning and it’s a biggie!
YUP! Drake, Kanye, Pharrell, Bruno AND FLIPPIN OUTCAST! Hello! Count me in please.
The line up for one of the most talked about festivals of the year has been announced. Coachella is once again happening across two weekends, April 11-13th and April 18-20th in sunny Cali.
The line up is AMAZING.
Ellie Goulding, Pharrell, Lorde, Kid Cudi, Nas, Rudimental, Jhene Aiko, Daughter, The Internet, Laura Mvula, Solange, John Newman, BANKS, Lana Del Rey, Duke Dumont and LOADS more are all on the bill.
The most amazing news is that Outcast are headlining, yes, really.
I WANNA GO.
Bloody hell Queen B, you really did your thing with this. No promo, no talk up, no hype, just a release, bang, out there, done. The result is being number one in 77 countries and counting.
I won’t post up videos on here because there’s a lot, just sink your teeth into the album and the extra content.
Big up Beyonce.

Last night was the Brit Awards 2013, held at the 02 Arena in London and hosted by James Corden. Whilst most ‘music industry types’ were watching either at the 02 or at home, I was munching on BBQ ribs and chips in a resturant so I missed the show. Naturally, Twitter kept me up to date with the winners, losers and the general cringe TV moments.
After catching up on the show today, I have to say that it was a bit “meh.” There wasn’t ONE, not ONE scandal involing swearing, nakedness or outrageous behaviour from a popstar – what’s that all about? Instead the show ran smoothly without any noticeable hitches, it was a boring watch though – even JT’s performance of Mirrors was a tad on the boring side.
The winners were:
Best British Female
** WINNER! Emeli Sandé **
Paloma Faith
Bat For Lashes
Jessie Ware
Amy Winehouse
Best British Group
** WINNER! Mumford and Sons **

** WINNER! One Direction’**
The woman of the night was Emeli Sande, I think I actually suffered from a rather mild Emeli Sande overload. She won British Album Of The Year award for Our Version of Events as well as the British Female Solo Artist award. Not only that but there was an interview with her, a performance from her, and most of the nominations were her or featured her – she is after all an amazing talent!

The world has gone Beyoncé mad after last nights INSANE performance at The Superbowl. A performance which saw Destinys Child back on stage, and one which got every mans eyes melting from the heat.
Highlights for me included Beyoncé saying “Dutty Wine” and her legs.
So after all of that insanity, Beyoncé had more for us – the announcement of a new world tour, “The Mrs. Carter Show,” her first tour in 3 years.
The show kicks off in Europe on April 15th and North America at the beginning of June 28th.

One of my favourite UK rappers PW, is all set to perform at his first headline show on Feb 26th in London.
If you listen to my Podcast you’ll already know about PW, the very talented 20 year old rapper from North London. If not, here’s a little reminder:
1) He’s toured with the likes of Mindless Behaviour, Dappy and Conor Maynard
2) His debut mixtape, New Kid On The Block gained PW some loyal fans and the attention of all those important music industry types
3) His track Sensible was one of my fave songs of 2011
4) He’s bloody good at rapping
PW has been recently releasing free music every Wednesday, the latest of which is called Back To The Start. You can download that track and many more by checking his Soundcloud page.
So as well as the headline show and the free music giveaways, PW’s also releasing a Valentines EP on Feb 14th – something for the ladies!
I sat down for a little chat with the man himself back in 2011:
Tickets for his headline show can be booked now, right here.
This morning my Twitter feed was going stir crazy after a Tweet from Mr JT. The Tweet which simply said:
“Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST…”
This got everyone excited and thinking that tonight, he would release a new single, reportedly produced by Timbaland, and featuring Jay-Z and Beyonce.
Well that didn’t happen. But then he Tweeted this:
“To whom it may concern…I think I’M READY! #JT2013”
with a link to this trailer teaser.
I for one cannot wait for this. I’m a huge JT fan and Justified is still one of my favourite albums of all time.
Justin, I’m also ready!
