Last night on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra 2 brand new remixes of Ed’s new single Give Me Love were played for the first time.
On Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show we had the True Tiger remix whilst on Mistajam’s 1Xtra show had the New Machine remix featuring a verse from Mic Righteous.

I have to say that my personal favourite is the New Machine remix, it has a lot of the elements which I like from the original including the chanting section plus Mic brings something new to it. Your thoughts?

True Tiger set Maida Vale alight when they dropped in to see Mistajam last week to perform four tracks from the new EP, Eye of the Tiger Volume 2, alongside a live band. The EP will be released via the collectives Facebook page, through their new label, Stripes Records, on September 3rd 2012. Trust us, it’s full of absolute bangers with a track for everybody and features the likes of Maiday, Newham Generals, Maxsta, P Money & Drifter, Scrufizzer, Dot Rotten and Mic Righteous.

I remember getting a True Tiger produced track in the post about 6 years ago from a singer called NY (she has a wicked new track out, hear it on pod 122 on sat) they produced sick R&B records and various other bits, in recent times however their production sound as ‘grime/ dubstep’ has stuck and is a winning formula for this lot.
True Tiger’s Eye Of The Tiger Vol. 2 is out on June 17th and will feature the likes of Dot Rotten, Scrufizzer, Mic Righteous, Maxsta and many more.

My favourite record in the world right now for this bank holiday weekend comes from UK producers True Tiger who have picked up Maveric Sabre and Professor Green for their latest project In The Air. I confessed a few posts down when I posted the music video to this that it was still a grower on me, I just didn’t enjoy it on my first few listens, something must have changed though to be my fav record of the week. The track is out on June 12th on iTunes so if you agree with my verdict I strongly suggest you go and buy it.
I’ve got a strong feeling that True Tiger are going to be a strong production team for 2011 into the future and beyond. Have a listen for yourself to my favourite record in the world right now.
