This dropped over the weekend (I was too busy eating) new, raw music from Tinchy directed by Press Play UK. This track featured in Tinchy’s latest EP The Wish List which dropped last year.

Hello? HELLO? ANYONE THERE? Oh yes, hi. So where have I been? The truth is, I’m not actually sure. I’m still in mega Christmas mode, I still haven’t taken my tree down from my room, I must do that today. I promise I’m back seriously as of now.
So this track has surprised me. You may remember on of my favourite records in the world right now was from these two, Tinchy & Pixie though it was Pixie feauturing Tinchy and it seems the roles have been swapped with Pixie just featuring on the chorus and this is now officially a Tinchy Stryder single, which is cool but I did prefer the Pixie version off her album. Either way this is a strong comeback for Tinchy who I think has been floating around a little, people can now say that Tinchy is back for 2012.

I think I’m more of a fan of this video than the track, the beat doesn’t do anything for me but I’m always happy to hear Tinch do something aside from his single releases such as Gangsta? and Game Over.
He is still one of the nicest guys I’ve met in the industry and I’m looking forward to the new album Full Tank which is coming next year.

In the run up to the release of the next Tinchy single ‘Off The Record produced by Calvin Harris we have been given this track to download for free by Stryderman himself, yes please.

This had to of been the most fun video to make. Tinchy, with some girls, in Vegas with rollercoasters. Need I say anymore.

This is the official song for the 2012 Olympics taking place in London. It’s all about the youth this year so who better to get to sing the official song than Dionne Bromfield with a helping hand from label mate Tinchy as well, not bad!

The new single from Tinchy and Dappy gets the A64 treatment with a guest appearence from my fav Pixie Lott. Big up Alex from Universal imitating Tinch at the beginning – spot on.

I’ve had a musical look back at the year of 2010 and now its time for my own personal look back at the things I have achieved and done this year – basically a big ego boost for me.

The first week of 2010 was a great one for me, I was back on BBC Radio 1Xtra for the first weekend of the year and also in Feburary presenting the Weekend Breakfast Show. In May I was presenting for two weeks on the Chart Show which was really amazing and a lot of fun. A lot has been going on behind the scenes in terms of my radio work and It has really become clear to me this half of the year how sometimes I won’t achieve what other people are looking for, at the end of the day trying to please one person isn’t always possible but me knowing that I still love and live radio will get me to where I want to be eventually, just a bit more work to go! I’ve had my dream since I was eight years old and nothing is going to stop me getting to where I need to get.
At the beginning of the year I was still doing work with Mini Viva before they decided to go their seperate ways. In April we performed on Channel 4 programme KoKo Pop which was recorded at the famous KoKo venue in Camden to promote their single One Touch
My childhood dreams came true in May when we performed on childrens TV show Blue Peter. For those who live in the UK you will know how much of a big deal this is, every child grew up wishing they had a Blue Peter badge and this year I achieved that! It was a big day and one I will never ever forget. Click here to watch the videos from the day.
From April I began DJing for IYAZ during his promo for his follow up single from the massive Replay which was Solo. The first show we did together was on KoKo Pop again for Channel 4. I was really excited that day, he was an established name and was still getting a lot of love for his first single success so I was proud to be apart of the team. We did a load of TV promotion again in May with performances on The 5:19 Show on BBC 2, the biggest breakfast show in the UK on GMTV, Studio Five Live on Channel 5 and a recording for News of The World online.

In July we did our first audience performance with at Channel 4′s T4 on The Beach. There was a crowd of 60,000 people so this was a very, very big and exciting weekend. I met a lot of people I admire and it was fair to say it was a crazy weekend. Click here and here to view the photos from the weekend.
Here are the video diaries I did over the weekend.

In September IYAZ was back over in the UK but this time with Charice to promote their duet smash Pyramid. This track was huge in the US, Charice was discovered by the queen aka Oprah so shes kind of a big deal. We performed on MTV’s Suck My Pop, the afternoon show on ITV Loose Women and on Channel 5′s Studio Five Live. We also performed So Big which was the latest release from IYAZ on the MTV show. It was another crazy experience in this weird and wonderful world.
I’ve also had the honour of interviewing some people who I really admire – Tinchy Stryder and Asher Roth. The interview with Tinchy was all planned and organised to take place and was aimed to be around the release of his street single Gangsta? but the Asher interview was totally off the cuff and random. Me and my manager just ended up in Ashers hotel room and I happened to have some recording equipment on me – sometimes life is good to me like that.
I’ve also been the voice behind Kelly Rowland’s two single TV adverts this year – Commander and Forever and a Day.
So there it was, 2010 through my eyes and what a year its been. There has been so many ups and a few downs too but those downs only make me want to work even harder to achieve what I want so much and who knows, maybe 2011 will let me get it.

Well after a pretty mental week back in London I am now back in Birmingham (woo) so during my mental week I missed out on a fair bit of stuff to blog up so here we go.
Here is the ‘grime’ remix of Game Over, I have to say at first I was so hyped about this track but now I listen to it more it just doesn’t excite me as much as It should, I’m not sure I’m a massive fan of the production. Either way here is the grime remix, which is better then?

The next single from the new Third Strike album. The track features Bridget Kelly who you may know as the fill in for Alicia Keys when Jay-Z performed Empire State of Mind around the world, a new talent to be keeping an ear out for I think!

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, it’s a bit mad in my life at the moment and don’t have enough hours in the day BUT here is a new freestyle from Cheekz over the mean Game Over beat, check back for my interview with Cheekz on this site very soon.
