Oh god, I’m having a bit of a Ricky Gervais day. I don’t think I’ve ever expressed how much I love the work of Ricky Gervais. The Office is without any doubt my favourite programme in the world, I’ve spent so many hours watching every episode that apart of David Brent has crossed over into my personality and I now find myself using his cringe worthy quotes in everyday conversation, not to meantion pull the same faces and constantly say “…eh” at the end of lines when people don’t laugh at my brent type joke. Ricky was in on Greg Jame’s Radio 1 show today to promote the next Ricky Gervais Show, the animated podcasts which is starting again on E4 and Channel 4 next week I believe, could even be this week!
In honour of my idol here are some of my favourite Brent moments.

On Valentines day last year I was live on BBC Radio 1Xtra and before my show I went to talk on BBC Radio 1 about Valentines day with Ras Kwame and Edith Bowman. I have to say that I impressed them with my romantic antics.

I’ve spoken about this ‘issue’ before on the blog, Will Manning vs Justin Bieber. Whilst presenting last week on the 1Xtra Chart I had so many texts saying “Will, you look just like Justin Bieber.” Following an amazing idea from my producer today was the day I put the whole theory to the test. I brought in my best cap, my most colourful top and the standard American high school jumper in order to fool everyone.
I spoke to some guys who were on a school trip around the building and everyone said I looked like him, I also ran into Scott Mill’s whilst he was on Radio 1 and he was totally confused (he later tweeted me to say “that was proper random”) I spoke to Dev from Radio 1 as well – hear all of this on Radio 1Xtra tomorrow from 1pm!

Guns & Horses has been confirmed as the next single from Ellie Goulding. She has also been confirmed today to perform at Radio 1′s Big Weekend in Bangor over in the In New Music We Trust stage, very big look indeed for her! Speaking of the Big Weekend festival, the line up is amazing, better than Reading & Leed’s which I payed £188 for, seriously thinking of selling it and just going to Wales for free?

Hot Chip were a group I had heard of before but, admittedly never really payed any attention to, that was until I heard this insane new single of theirs called ‘I Feel Better’ - thanks to Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 1 for bringing this track into my life and infact so many other amazing records, he’s got a really great show which is well worth checking out!
Anyway, this is an amazing video, if not slightly creepy as well.

Listen up. Justin Beiber is massive stateside and getting almost as big here in the UK, the girls love him – apparently I look a bit like him? Last week he was up at Radio 1 for Switch with Annie Mac & Nick Grimshaw and did an amazing acoustic performance of his first single ‘One Time’ – I was seriously blown away by this.
