So following on from Jesse McCartney, JoJo and N*Sync (I really do love pop don’t I) here we have Roy Ayers with the summer classic Everybody Loves The Sunshine. This track oozes summer, the soul, the melody – everything about this track expresses what the summer is about.
The UK has had a week of sun – I know how amazing. It has been so nice and today is probably the last day of this freak heat we’ve had (hopefully not for the whole of the summer) and so I thought this track was the most appropriate as this weeks Classic Monday’s track.

Around 3 hours after being played on BBC Radio 1 for the first time here is the brand new single from Plan B aka Ben Drew.
Following on from iLL Manors the new single Lost My Way also features the heavy hitting drums and angry production values that the previous single did, as well as Ben’s aggressive flow. It’s funny to see the die hard Plan B fans (or die hard Strikland Banks fans – Ben’s previous album) state how much they aren’t feeling the new material, one comment stated:
“gonna get old quick sadly…”
I think I have to agree, I now switch off iLL Manors when I hear it played but I couldn’t tell you why. Wonder how long it takes with this one.
Hearing a new track from Kano is always something to get excited about in my eyes. This is produced by Footsie and was played by Logan Sama on KISS FM on Monday night – WAVY.

This features the classic sample from Pete Rock’s track T.R.O.Y to give it that summer vibe, Pete wasn’t too happy though. He tweeted:

I really need to stop posting up the Classic Monday’s tracks 5 minutes before Tuesday morning, I have no excuse their – sorry!
This week, as promised ISN’T a pop record. Instead this is a classic from the world of R&B… Ok fine this is a pop AND R&B track but it’s SO SO good and isn’t cheesy at all.
Remember N*Sync? The group which saw the launch of Justin Timberlake’s career? Well they had this amazing track Girlfriend produced by The Neptunes and featuring Nelly (he was big at the time). This track is always on in my car during the summer and I still love it to this day after being released back in 2002.

My Favourite Record In The World Right Now comes from Meek Milly aka Meek Mill. After releasing a mixtape this month which had over a million downloads in one day Meek Mill is ready for world domination.
On My Way features on the mixtape Dreamchasers 2. The reason this track win’s this weeks title is because the message really resonated with me and my own personal journey at the moment. Meek talks about his struggle in the industry and how he’s trying to “make it to the top” a journey I’m also on. Having this as My Favourite Record In The World Right Now in the world right now was a no brainer so have a listen and fall in love with it too.
