In the past year or so there has been a recent outbreak in fashion trends and a new stereotype has been born. It’s the new ‘cool kid’ that male teens seem to aspire to look like up and down the UK – it’s the new thing (apparently)

Now at risk of sounding like an old man and a snob I will say now, this is a light hearted post and a mere observation of what I see on a daily basis in and around London.

So, the 5 signs of trying to hard:

5. You wear Beats by Dre headphones but they must be white, why? Because you’re cool and everyone has black ones duh.

4. Chinos are the new jeans. If it isn’t red or baige then forget it. For this I blame One Direction and the Rizzle Kicks.

3. You’re wearing a snapback just because.

2. The words “cool man” will be repeated after almost every sentence.

1. Shorts in winter, jumpers in summer and let’s not forget denim is a must.

Maybe I’m just jealous.
