No New Friends (or the Started From The Bottom remix), is the first bit of new material we get to hear from Khaled’s forthcoming album, Suffering From Success.
This track features the usuals, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and the leader for this record, Drake.
This will be the next single from Kendricks debut good kid, m.A.A.d city, the Drizzy featuring Poetic Justice. I must admit, after hearing Elli Ingrams version of this track I think I like hers more, it puts a real shine on the soulful aspect of the record, shown off in the Kendrick version by a Janet Jackson sample.
I didn’t expect a video for this so quickly! After bagging a Grammy last night for Best Rap Album, Drizzy Drake has released the video for his new single, Started From The Bottom.
A lot of people have been calling this track a grower and also, “lazy” – I have to say though, I liked this from the very first listen. I can’t wait to hear more new material as and when.

When you’re really famous you can do what you want (kind of), Drake is one of those dudes, he doesn’t release music for what seems like ages and then BAM, we have a new single.
Started From The Bottom is the leading single from his forthcoming album, the video for which is dropping on Grammy night – Feb 10th.
Drake wrote a letter to all his fans to explain the song and to talk future plans:
“My good friends, It has truly been too long. I assume you’re all keeping well and making the most of this year that has been given to us. Today is the day to begin sharing my newest work with you. This is the first single off of my upcoming album. I feel sometimes that people don’t have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn’t consistent with actual events. My family and my second family (consisting of the best friends anybody could ever have) all struggled and worked extremely hard to make all this happen. I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve. I am proud of every part of my past and I’m excited for this song to find a place in your life as well. I didn’t feel I needed any interviews or radio or press to launch this song. It felt right to come back to the site that I started on and release it to the people that started here with me. Judging by this post, the tour that we’ve been planning, the conversations about new songs and album artwork…I think it’s safe to say we’re back together again. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.”
Ps. It’s SO annoying when big tracks drop AFTER I’ve recorded my podcast, there’s always the next one…
Yup! One of the biggest Hip Hop tracks this side of Summer now has a video to go with it. This was premiered on BETs 106 & Park yesterday and introduced by A$AP himself.
Drake has officially taken over Hip Hop God Jay-Z in the running for a Hip Hop artists most number 1′s.
Drake recently appeared on the 2 Chainz single No Lie (which went to number 1) and thus making it Drake’s 10th number 1. This means he has officially beaten Jay-Z who only has 9.
Drake has always expressed his love for the late, great Aaliah who tragically died back in 2001 in a plane crash.
He promised an album featuring her vocals, sure enough this track Enough Said leaked online for the world to hear.
Aaliyah fans are mad at Drake for this, why mess with her voice? Why not leave her to rest? How do you know she would have wanted to be on this record? etc. etc. I agree in many ways, but I also think that this sounds great.
New music from Drizzy! Yamaha Mama features what sounds like Chris Brown and has been uploaded to Drake’s YouTube channel with no information at all, just enjoy the new music!
Drake fans all over the world, this one is for YOU!
Drake has been putting the work in for 2012 having launched a huge tour of the US and Europe. I’m going to see the man himself on May 19th in Birmingham so I thought WHY not put together a 40 minute mix featuring some of his hottest verses and biggest tracks.

Just a little video to give an idea of what Drake and the team are getting up to whilst they are on the current Club Paradise tour which hits London this week. I’m gutted I didn’t get tickets for this and I wasn’t going to beg anyone at the label so hopefully next time he’s over I’ll get to see Drizzy in action.
