Today I was back to my strange job of provding my voice for an advert, honestly it’s mad. This time round it was for a great cause, BBC’s Children In Need. It’s a campaign which I’ve watched since I can remember on TV and they do great things for great people who deserve it!
The single this year which will raise money for the campaign is called Wish I Belonged and it features Angel, Stooshe, Tyler James, The BBC Symphony Orchestra and the man behind it all Fazer.

A few weeks back I had the honour of being apart of CJ Beatz’s BBC Radio 1Xtra R&B Mix Show. CJ is one of my favourite DJs, he is one of the only DJs on the radio who isn’t afraid to show off with some cuts, juggles and personality – something specialist DJs are seriously lacking these days, It’s very refreshing to hear.
There is a feature on his show called Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (yes the famous lyric) It gives DJs a 15 minute slot to showcase what they do in the clubs to make people dance and also theres a little chat before hand too.

I blogged about me doing some filming for a CBBC show called Friday Download a little while back. Last week I was at BBC TV Center in London for the studio filming section of my feature and it will all be aired TOMORROW at 5:30pm (UK time) on the CBBC Channel. It will be repeated at 10am on the Saturday on the CBBC Channel and again on Sunday morning at 10am on BBC 2 so no excuses to miss it if you live in the UK.

Hello, I’ve been away revising for my exam which I had on Monday, I think it went well! So that’s all over and done with and now I have literally a matter of days left at Uni before 3 months of freedom over the summer. ANYWAY what did you miss? Well over the weekend there was a big festival happening in Carlise in Cumbira here in the UK. Its called Radio 1′s Big Weekend which I attended last year in Bangor, its a very very big occasion where big artists from around the world perform to 40,000 people, this year included Lady GaGa, The Strokes, Yasmin, Wretch 32, The Wombats, Artic Monkeys, Plan B, The Black Eyed Peas and soo many more, I watched the whole weekend from the comfort of my bedroom thanks to the brilliant internet geeks at the BBC.
Magnetic Man were also on that huge line up so took it upon themselves to perform their new single featuring the mighty P Money.

I’m back in the homeland of the UK and it appears I missed a fair bit over the week whilst in Brazil – check the good blogs on the left to catch up, I’ll start as of now.
Here is the huge UK talent everyone is talking about right now, Ed Sheeran performing A Team on the Jools Holland show on the BBC here in England. This is a very big deal for such a new artist, Ed is going to go the distance with this amount of talent.

This morning my ears were exposed to a beautiful sound. To be specific it was the sound of the amazing Adele. She first caught my attention, as well as millions of others with her track Chasing Pavements years ago and of course Feel My Love she then went to America and things went really well and now she is back in her homeland with her brand new album entitled 21. The album is currently sitting in my room waiting to be listened to, I’m hoping to get a track from it on this weeks Podcast which is out on Saturday.
Anyway, this morning she was the first artist to perform on a BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Special from the world famous BBC Maida Vale Studios in London. Adele had a whole 30 minutes of air time to herself and performed six tracks including her new single Rolling In The Deep which really was something special, as was the whole 30 minutes.

CJ Beatz has been doing his thing Monday nights 1-4am on BBC Radio 1Xtra for a while now but I’ve never posted up on here ranting and raving about it like I really should be. I’m a regular weekly listener via the BBC iPlayer as it’s now the only show where I can hear the music I love 100% in the mix by a DJ who can scratch, juggle and mix well. Yesterday saw the beginning of this years BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend festival take place in Bangor in North Wales.
I was lucky enough to get a guest pass, usually 5am on a Saturday morning doesn’t normally sound very appealing however yesterday was such a special event I didn’t care what time it was. I trecked up to Bangor with a 4 hour train journey and arrived on site at 12pm, picked up my VIP pass and made my way to the guest area to see who I could spot and to check the place out. It was an amazing layout. The VIP area held the Radio 1 Live Lounge which only the special guests and people listening live could hear, this allowed me to stand a few feet away from Ellie Goulding and Example, a truley amazing experience.
Also lingering in the area was Professor Green, Wiley, Roll Deep amongst others.
A load of Radio 1 presenters were around too – Greg James, Scott Mills, Chris Moyles, Fearne Cotton, Nick Grimshaw etc. Even the Big Dog Westwood was lurking, I admitted to him I was the fake Justin Bieber lurking around the Radio 1 studios the other day, he was very surprised.
I managed to see performances from Tinie Tempah who smashed the place, seriously when ‘Pass Out’ came on I thought the tent would collapse. Here he is performing ‘Frisky’
I saw Ellie Goulding outside of the Live Lounge tent as well performing in the In New Music We Trust stage. Chipmunk, Justin Bieber and Example again – fair to say the whole day was amazing, bring on next years!

Today was the beginning of “IYAZ week.” First stop was the BBC ’5:19 Show’ studios where we filmed for the BBC 2 show which will go out this Saturday at 1:15pm. Tom Deacon and AJ present the show and were two really nice and cool people. There was even an Ellie Goulding look a like who worked in the office (photo of me and her below)

This week IYAZ is back in the UK doing the promo rounds for his new single ‘Solo’ and I’m joining him on the journey.
Tuesday you can catch us on the BBC Switch online programme the ’5:19 Show’ and on Thursday we will be on GMTV in the morning then onto film an online performance for News of the World and then back on the TV in the evening on the Channel 5 show ‘Studio Five Live’
Hopefully I can get some behind the scenes videos and pictures to blog up on the site and of course I will keep you updated by the second on my Twitter page. I’m looking forward to it!

Hot Chip were a group I had heard of before but, admittedly never really payed any attention to, that was until I heard this insane new single of theirs called ‘I Feel Better’ - thanks to Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 1 for bringing this track into my life and infact so many other amazing records, he’s got a really great show which is well worth checking out!
Anyway, this is an amazing video, if not slightly creepy as well.
