Whilst they aren’t the best rappers in the world Rizzle Kicks have uploaded this freestyle over Nas’s beat Nasty (minus Harley). Nas by the way will be supporting the Kicks at their next tour – bit weird.

One of the UK’s hottest MC’s Sway seems to be doing OK (if you get the joke – see his track Little Derek) after reaching number 8 in the official UK mid week charts with his latest single Level Up.
Sway has uploaded this new freestyle over Plan B’s big track iLL Manors and re named it Bad Manors.

Charlie Sloth began his new BBC Radio 1 show last night, transfering the format from his 1Xtra Friday night show to a platform like Radio 1 is m-a-s-s-i-v-e. I’m really glad UK rap has been given the spotlight but why did it take so long. Soul, D&B, house/ techno/ electro were all being looked at whilst Rap was totally overlooked.
HOWEVER that has all changed and you can hear Charlie every Monday 2-4am.
His first Fire in The Booth was from Wretch 32 who, naturally, killed it.
Listen back to the whole 2 hours here.

Whilst over in the UK last week one of the rappers tipped for big things in 2012/2013 A$AP Rocky payed a visit to DJ Semtex at BBC Radio 1Xtra and dropped a freestyle over Ye and Jay’s Paris.

Don’t know about you but I miss hearing music from Akala, luckily for us though SB.TV’s first video of 2012 is from the man himself, freestyle fashion.

Yes, every rapper around the world should be afriaid, very afraid. Justin Bieber had alredy stunned people when we heard him rap over Jay-Z and Kanye’s Otis but now he’s taken it to a new level over a DJ Premier beat from a Gang Star classic. In this freestyle he performed on New York station HOT 97 he addresses the people who say that he doesn’t write his own lyrics to the raps and also admits that he gets the best chicks – I’ll agree with that, have you seen Seleena Gomez recently? Phwoooar.
Up and coming rappers – watch how it’s done.
20 year old Sean Sentry from East London sent over one of his tracks to me this week as well as a freestyle video. I get a ton of these e-mails every week but new artists please feel free to send over your material, I always love listening to someone new – that is, after all one of the big criteria as my role as a DJ.
I was really impressed with what I saw from Sean, someone I think I’ll keep a close eye on. This is his entry to Channel AKA here in the UK, see what you think.
It’s not often I get to post up about new artists that I’ve been told about or who send me stuff, mainly because none of them excite me that much but having recently met this guys manager after my interview with PW I gave it a chance, had a listen, read through his biography and I really liked what I heard.
Mynature is full of energy which is clear to see and hear in this freestyle. This is taken off his taken from his mixtape titled The Beginning.
Sorry for the serious lack of posting on the site this week, It’s been a bit mental in my world so lets play a mini catch up.
Here we have teen sensation Justin Bieber freestyling over Ye and Hov’s Otis and I have to say he actually killed this, he has a wicked flow but seriously, did he write this?
