Following on from the huge success Labrinth had with Earthquake here is the 2nd single called Last Time.
I guess as an artist it’s been a bit of a rough ride for Lab. Sunshine was an anthem despite not selling that well and then there was a huge wait until we heard anything else (aside from his productions).
Last Time is far from the sound I was hoping for and also expected, after the first 10 seconds my mind was made up. By the end of the track however I found myself enjoying it, I was even humming over the hook – a sign of an instant hit perhaps? The sound Labrinth has taken on is much like the Taio Cruz records that are constantly being churned out at the moment and there is also heavy use of a vocoder – how will he perform this live without it sounding crap?
