I have to put my hands up and admit something to you. Over the past 2 days normal life has stopped, my usual get up and go attitude has come to a very firm hault and my bed has become my new best friend, why? Well because I’ve finally got round to watching the worldwide TV senstation Homeland.
Since Sunday I’ve not only watched the entire 12 episodes of Series 1 but also all 8 episodes of Series 2 – I know, what’s happened?! Usually I can find a nice balance when watching TV, a little bit in the evening, maybe half an hour in the morning whilst I wake up from the comfort of my own bed but NEVER has it been this intense before.
Homeland has somehow managed to captivate me and pull me right in. It has everything I love – consipiracy, spies, gripping plots, twists and turns, complex characters and really good acting. My friends always say that it takes a lot to please me, well Homeland creators you should be impressed, you’ve done just that.
If you haven’t watched it yet I urge you to do so, although if you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle then I would seriously think hard about it beforehand. Now I’m waiting for Series 3, in the mean time normal life will now resume.

I’m a sucker for a new Wretch 32 record. His new one, Doing OK proves why. With African influences apparent from the off, this is a very different sound for Wretch. The way I’d describe it is “subtle Hip Hop,” it’s not in your face but it’s still raw UK Hip Hop.
With the vocal talent of Jacob Banks this one’s a big winner for me.
We haven’t heard much from Chip recently, despite that he seems to be having fun making music that he’s actually a fan of! This freestyle is a nice example of that. He does his thing over Naughty Boy’s chart topping smash La La La, as always he sounds effortless and has a touch of that cheeky Chip sound too.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are on a roll, a very good roll. With the big bang that was Thrift Shop followed by the massive Can’t Hold Us, we now have Stay At Home Dad. It’s not confirmed if this is officially the next single, either way it’s a great and different listen.
